Day One

Depart USA for Sri Lanka

Day Two

NEGOMBO

Meet and assist on arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport by UTravel representative and transfer to hotel in Negombo. 

Day Three

NEGOMBO

After breakfast visit concert venue for rehearsal.

Afterwards  a city tour in Negombo.

Evening at leisure to enjoy the golden beach of Negombo, and maybe some water sports like kitesurfing and jet skiing!

Negombo, also called as “Little Rome” a city in the coastal line is a highlight for many tourists. Its sandy beach, the romantic sunsets, scrumptious seafood, the lagoon and excitement at night with all lit-up is no doubt the reason for many tourists to visit this city more than once.

Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel in Negombo  (3-4 star accommodation). 

Day Four

NEGOMBO

Morning at leisure or rehearsals.

A boat ride on the lagoon through mangroves or on the famous Dutch canal also known as the Hamilton canal that was used during the Dutch rule in Sri Lanka as a transportation and water route for many trading.  Also witness fishing by local experts. 

Evening Sri Lanka Sings performance.

Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Negombo  (3-4 star accommodation). 

Day Five

NEGOMBO / ANURADHAOURA / MIHINTALE / HABARANA

After breakfast leave for Anuradhapura.

Anuradhapura is the 1st capital of Sri Lanka which is rich in heritage and culture. It runs back to the 5th century BC and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Anuradhapura was ruled over 130 kings in 1400 years. This city is a masterpiece of architecture, engineering and art. Anuradhapura is rich in heritage with many sites of ancient ruins and places of interest that tourists do not miss.

Afterwards visit Mihintale.

There is a historic value in Mihintale as it’s the birth place of Buddhism. On this hill took place the great conversion of king Devanampiyatissa in 247 BC by Mahinda Thero who was from India. Thereafter Buddhism became the state religion of Sri Lanka.

Among the many places of interest in Mihintale, lies ruins and artifacts of the world’s oldest hospital dating back to the 3rd century AD about 400 years before the earliest hospital in Europe.   The monolithic stone baths are believed to have been used for the sick and excavation proves on things of medicinal value.

Check in at hotel in Habarana for dinner and overnight stay. 

Day Six

HABARANA / SIGIRIYA / POLONNARUWA

After breakfast climb Sigiriya rock fortress a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  This citadel which dates back to the 3rd century BC, is a plateau 370 meters above sea level. Sigiriya is also known as the eighth wonder of the world!

This is beyond human imagination. Its main attractions are the lion’s paw, mirror wall, fountains, frescoes, the boulder gardens, water gardens and the underground water pumps are of a complex hydraulic system.  This rock fortress is the most visited tourist sight which is none seasonal and all year around.

Thereafter enjoy a village tour. This will enable the tourists to have a bullock cart ride, kayaking and many more excitements together with authentic lunch served at the site.

Then proceed to Polonnaruwa, which is the 2nd capital of Sri Lanka that has many ancient ruins and witness the only man-made sea inside the island, which is known as “Parakrama Samudraya” built by great king Parakrama Bahu.

Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Habarana.   

Day Seven

HABARANA / DAMBULLA / MATALE / KANDY

After breakfast proceed to Kandy via Matale.

En route visit Rangiri Dambulu cave temple. This is another UNESCO World Heritage Site, a historic cave temple with a golden roof. It features five caves and this monastery is the largest best-preserved cave-temple complex in Sri Lanka. Its mural paintings are of significant value.  Rangiri Dambulu Cave is also a never to miss tourist site.

En route a stop at Nalanad gedige, the center point of Sri Lanka.

A technical visit to a Sri Lankan authentic spice garden in Matale will enable the tourists to witness the world famous spices of Sri Lanka.

Check in at hotel in Kandy.

Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Kandy.
