Tour Specialist - Marketing Department


Music Celebrations has an opening for a Tour Specialist at its home office in Tempe, Arizona. We are seeking an outstanding, self-motivated, goal-driven Tour Specialist to generate new accounts and maintain/improve existing accounts in the musical performance travel industry via telephone as well as occasional face-to-face account selling. We have a team of inside sales representatives responsible for developing customer loyalty and increasing sales largely by placing outbound calls. Performance standards for this position are challenging but achievable, and the compensation is designed to reward high achievers.

Successful candidates will have a positive, upbeat personality and a strong desire to give exceptional customer service. Some of our most successful consultants have backgrounds in the music industry, particularly with band, orchestral or choral literature experience. Sales Support - Marketing Department

Music Celebrations International ( is a dynamic blend of concert production and travel agency. Music Celebrations International (MCI) organizes concert tours for symphony choruses, marching bands, chamber orchestras, children's choirs, concert bands, and everything in between. We are looking for a smart, dynamic, goal-oriented self-starter to assist in both "production" and "marketing".


  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills are required; including, but not limited to:
  • Microsoft Office 2010/2013 (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)Maximizer (or similar) CRM/database experience is optimum, but not required
  • Basic graphic design and web experience is optimum, but not required; including, but not limited to, Adobe Creative Suite products, basic WordPress capabilities, and basic HTML/XHTML capabilities


  • Using Microsoft Excel, produce standard tour pricing on request
    Using Microsoft Word and Maximizer (CRM), produce marketing proposals on request
  • Database Maintenance
  • Oversee company database maintenance: enter/update contacts and related information, and track client movement

Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Statistics: Using Microsoft Excel, enter/track production/marketing statistics
  • Sales Support

Assist the sales team with:

  • locating music contest/performance results
  • researching state and national music education association conference performers
  • researching music group festival/event participation

Create and maintain:

  • Reference Sheets
  • Testimonials
  • Photo Sheets
  • Photo Galleries
  • Company photo collections (primarily via Group Travel Videos)
  • Press Releases
  • Sponsorship Letters
  • Fundraising Ideas/Partnerships
  • Tour Evaluations
  • Create and maintain tour evaluation spreadsheet
  • Ensure feedback from every tour group
