We’re pleased to announce a new special choral event: the Heart of the Valley Children’s Choir Festival. This festival will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Heart of the Valley Children’s Choir of Corvallis, Oregon, and will feature treble and mixed voice children’s and youth choirs singing stand-alone and en masse at Austin Auditorium of the LaSells Stewart Center at Oregon State University.
The festival, which will take place June 30 – July 3, 2014, will also feature workshops with the two festival directors, Paul Caldwell (Artistic Director of the Youth Choral Theater of Chicago), and Sean Ivory (Artistic Director of the Grand Rapids Symphony Youth Chorus).
Our long-standing association with the Heart of the Valley Children’s Choir has resulted in many successes, including the 20th Anniversary Festival in 2004, which featured Z. Randall Stroope as Artistic Director, and the 25th Anniversary Festival in 2009, which featured André Thomas as Artistic Director.
