The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is world-renowned and one of America’s most prestigious concert halls.  The Capital Orchestra Festival, which features four auditioned ensembles on the concert program, has attracted large local audiences for over 10 years and has become a mainstay in our nation’s capital.  Each participating ensemble enjoys an impactful workshop and a dedicated private soundcheck on the Kennedy Center stage prior to performing.  Washington, D.C. is home to many national treasures, including world-class museums, monuments & memorials, military music organizations, and hundreds of performing arts organizations.  Washington, D.C. is the perfect host city for this resumé-building event!  Director Brandon Beck reports:

“We really enjoyed the tour!  It was well-planned and executed.  Everything we did was a highlight – experiencing the Baltimore Symphony concert, the various Smithsonian Museums, the White House, monuments and memorials, Arlington National Cemetery, the clinic session, and performing in the Kennedy Center.  Thank you for a fun, memorable, and impactful trip!”
