Being in Washington, D.C. over Memorial Day will provide poignant memories for anyone who visits. It is a special time and place to honor America’s fallen heroes, to visit memorials and monuments dedicated to those who served, to visit America’s national treasures, and to instill a sense of gratitude and patriotism. The Aberdeen Central High School Golden Eagles Marching Band recently returned from being a representative of South Dakota in the 2024 National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C. Jeremy Schutter reports:

I enjoyed working with MCI. I TRUST MCI. My MCI team served us well and to the best of their ability. I view the whole trip as a highlight. Many of my students had never been to DC, so this was a unique travel experience for most of them. All meal arrangements were very, very good. I had zero complaints about the food from students and parent chaperones. Our local DC Tour Managers/Guides were outstanding. The marching performance experience was awesome. Having marched this two times now, I would not hesitate to return to it again.
