The hotel was a great location, comfortable rooms, and generally good service. Our tour manager, David, was superb… a true virtuoso: witty, knowledgeable, a great rapport with the students. The sightseeing gave us a good overview of the beauty and diversity of the city and region, both its natural and cultural treasures, We enjoyed the tours of the opera house and symphony hall.
Gregory Wait at Stanford University gave us an excellent vocal coaching clinic. St. Mary’s Cathedral was a marvelous building to sing in, and their music director was very welcoming and helpful. Grace Cathedral was the highlight of the trip…like singing in a European Gothic Cathedral. The students were in awe, and the atmosphere and acoustics inspired them to give their best performance of the year. Certainly, the Grace Cathedral performance was an unforgettable experience for all of us.
