Shelley Shinohara

Shelley Shinohara has been a travel-enthusiast and lover of music her whole life! Growing up in San Diego, California she enjoyed choir, tap and jazz dance, and musical theater from a very young age. She started playing flute in concert band in elementary school, and later moved to Dublin, California where she played flute/piccolo in the Dublin High School Marching Band and Wind Ensemble, and was section leader for two years. In her freshmen year, she had the opportunity to travel with her marching band to Dublin, Ireland, where she performed in the 2015 St. Patrick’s Day Parade. She also participated in the Dublin High School Winter Guard team for three years. Shelley graduated from Arizona State University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a minor in Sociology. Throughout her time at ASU, she was a member of the co-ed a cappella group Devil Clefs, serving as Music Director in her final two years. While in the group, Devil Clefs gained a significant following on social media, competed in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella, and released an EP on Spotify titled “Always Forever,” which included some of Shelley’s musical arrangements and solo features. In her free time, Shelley enjoys crocheting, playing ukulele, cooking, hiking, watching movies, and spending time with friends! Residing in Tempe, Shelley is excited combine her communication skills with her love of music as a new addition to the Music Celebrations International team.
