The First Presbyterian Church of Huntsville Choir and the Huntsville Master Chorale, under the direction of Dr. Patricia Hacker, toured Austria to perform in the Salzburg Choral Festival and to sing in St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna. Dr. Hacker reports:

“Music Celebrations International provided our singers an exceptional lifetime experience with the Salzburg Choral Festival. Working with such great clinicians performing wonderful literature was a joy. Dr. Scheibe was very kind and gave valuable information to my singers, reinforcing many of the things that I say during rehearsals. Singing under Dr. Czifra was extremely rewarding. His knowledge of performance practices on Mozart were enlightening and very important. Even though he had limited English communication, he got our attention by demonstrating exactly what he wanted. His sensitivity and passion for music making was excellent and inspiring. Singing under experienced conductors, and performing one of the most exciting works written by Mozart [Coronation Mass], along with additional exquisite choral literature, provided singers and non-singers the chance to enjoy music in all its splendor.

Surrounded by magnificent views of the Alps and the centuries old enchanting streets and buildings made the perfect frame for this remarkable festival. Thank you for providing singers around the world with this opportunity. An experience of a lifetime! All the performances satisfied our expectations and the choir is motivated to do this again in two years!”
