It is tempting each tour to say, “This was the best ever.” But in the case of our recent tour in Netherlands, France and Germany, it would be hard to argue that it was anything less than the best.
This was the 12th European tour for the Chicago Master Singers, in addition to which we have experienced many more tours under Music Celebrations International. Our tours have taken us from France to Russia and most points in between. It is tempting each tour to say, “This was the best ever.” But in the case of our recent tour in Netherlands, France and Germany, it would be hard to argue that it was anything less than the best. The pacing of the tour was perfect, allowing ample opportunity to take in all the sights, sounds and cuisine of our destinations without ever losing sight of the fact that this was a performance tour.
And it was indeed the performances themselves that exceeded all expectations. Every venue was the very finest that the cities had to offer, climaxing in our singing a Pontifical High Mass in the Cologne Cathedral, one of the world’s most spectacular cathedrals, broadcast live internationally. Every one of our performances drew near-capacity crowds, all were greeted with standing ovations and for most there was an insistent demand for encores.
We already are preparing the itinerary for our next tour, and we are turning once again to MCI with full assurance that yet another amazing experience awaits us. The flexibility in the planning process alone sets MCI apart from other companies, as well as the persistence in working on every detail until everything is right. The tour escorts are incomparable, ensuring that any issues that might arise during the tour will be cared for before the group is even aware that there might be a problem. MCI remains always our company of choice, and we proudly have come to feel that this is “our” tour company.
