Watching my band march alongside the iconic Washington Monument was a moment of immense pride. I was filled with a sense of accomplishment as I witnessed the incredible talent and dedication of these students. It’s an honor to work with such inspiring young people day in and day out.
Attending the concert at the Capitol was another highlight of the trip. It was essential for our young people to hear firsthand stories of our veterans and those who didn’t return home. Visiting the war memorials on Memorial Day itself carried a profound weight and significance.
This trip was a memorable and meaningful experience for everyone involved. I am grateful for the opportunity to have shared this journey with my students and the community.
It was a surreal experience! 5 stars. Our small band’s presence in the event was met with excitement and admiration from families back home, who were thrilled to hear our band announced on television and be a part of the experience from afar.
