The Lakeville North High School Chorale performed in the Santa Maria Sopra Minerva
Our performance in Rome was the BEST EVER!! Of all my tours with Music Celebrations International [MCI], this is among my very favorite venues (Santa Maria Sopra Minerva)! The sheer beauty of the basilica, the historical significance (4 popes are buried there!), the unbeatable acoustics- everything added up to the definitive high point for my singers (and me!) Plus- the church was absolutely FULL for an audience! Great job of PR to get a crowd that large. My Chorale sang their most inspired program, and the audience reaction just kept things going to even higher musical moments- unforgettable for everyone!
This has been one of my best tours ever- transportation was great, venues beautiful, hotels comfortable, food excellent, students behaved very well, no sickness in our group, and everyone got along so well…because it was purely a mountaintop experience. Everyone understood that this was something that they would never, ever, forget. It was a great ‘final tour’ for me!
I would not have kept coming back to MCI during my career unless I was satisfied in every way. I am convinced MCI is the gold standard for musical tour companies. The balance among significant performance venues, educational tours of museums, and free time to truly experience a different culture- are perfectly balanced.
