James Ford
Operations Specialist
James, originally from Long Beach, CA, carries the soul and energy of his late mother’s church choir vocals in his blood. Starting at age five, he gravitated toward the family Baldwin upright piano and learned to play by ear. In middle school, he discovered his place on the snare drum in the drumline, but not long after, his high school experience led him to the acoustic guitar and cover songs, where he began to truly find his love for singing and songwriting. After graduating, James fell into the world of digital audio and DJing in the Orange County/Los Angeles club scene and worked weekly music events for several years, eventually taking his knowledge and love for music across the country to Vermont, where he hosted a radio show on the University of Vermont’s WRUV FM Burlington, interviewing and showcasing artists, DJs, and producers in the local music scene. For the past 13 years, James’s passions have revolved around singing, songwriting, music production, audio engineering, DJing, and photography. He now lives in East Mesa with his wife, Savanah, who is also a talented producer and singer-songwriter, and their daughter, Blake.
