Jake Acee, from Buffalo, New York is an accomplished freelance musician with a primary focus in orchestral percussion. He is a graduate of Boston University, where he received his Masters Degree in Percussion Performance, and Purchase College, where he received his Bachelors Degree. An avid performer, he is a well-versed musician with experience on all  percussion instruments, as well as drum set and piano. Although primarily working in the orchestral setting, he has premiered many contemporary compositions as a soloist and chamber musician, and has performed in a wide range of pit orchestras for musicals and operas. 

Prior to joining the performance team at Music Celebrations International, Jake has performed internationally and nationally, and became an associate member of The Civic Orchestra of Chicago for the 2021-2022 season. Outside of performing, Jake is very passionate about composing, and educating musicians of all ages and has held a private teaching studio since 2018.
