The Hoboken High School Marching Band participated in the National Memorial Day Parade as a representative of the state of New Jersey. The parade took place in our nation’s capital on Historic Constitution Avenue before a street audience of several hundred thousand spectators. Director Dave Stasiak reports:
“Overall, a very successful trip and the kids and I would definitely like to do it again. The highlight for me was parading on Constitution Avenue with the Washington Monument in the background. Very picturesque. The parade was a career highlight. My students needed to get out of town and see the world outside of Hoboken, as well as a chance to perform on a national stage. They did that and really enjoyed their experience. My “MCI team” was great, and quickly answered all questions I had. Please feel free to use me as a reference.”
