The Gustavus Adolphus Wind Orchestra recently returned from a thrilling tour of central and Eastern Europe. Here is what Douglas Nimmo, the Wind Orchestra Conductor, said about the overall experience in a note to Music Celebrations President, John Wiscombe:

Good Morning John,
Last Thursday evening, the Gustavus Wind Orchestra returned from our East/Central European tour, which might best be described as splendid! While I know that Lisa Westphal is planning to schedule a conference debriefing call with you this week, I wanted to take this opportunity to offer my sincere and profound gratitude for all the excellent planning by the MCI TEAM.

The students were smiling every day (as were the leaders), because the many important details (travel time, accommodations, busses, drivers, Annamaria & Carmen, food, etc.) were all considered carefully prior to, and throughout, the tour.

John, I know you are very proud of your MCI TEAM – but please be sure to give all of them an extra hug from the Gustavus Wind Orchestra (and remember a hug for yourself, too)!
