We are pleased to announce that applications for the sixth-annual Percy Grainger Wind Band Festival, to take place in Chicago’s Historic Orchestra Hall at Symphony Center, are now being accepted.
The festival will feature four auditioned wind ensembles at each concert, one on February 21, 2015 and the other on March 7, 2015, conducting stand-alone performances of Percy Grainger literature in an afternoon matinee performance.
Retired Col. Arnald Gabriel, one of America’s living national treasures, is currently slated to resume his role as guest conductor, providing workshops for all participating bands.
