Iowa Youth Chorus in St. Peter’s Basilica
I would like to say that from my perspective we had a fabulous tour in Italy, despite the travel difficulties in the beginning. The performance venues were just right for our group and the choir has never sounded better! Everyone stayed healthy, got along and had a wonderful time. I know that MCI did everything they could to help resolve our flight and hotel issues. Our chaperone, Diana, who was with the “left behind” group speaks highly of MCI’s response as well. Many thanks to Carol, Donna, Lisa, Simona, Helga and Zoe for their efforts to make the best of a bad situation. I felt like the lines of communication were open and efforts to smooth things over were extraordinary. My singers’ main concern was that they would miss singing mass at St. Peter’s so extra kudos to Simona for re-arranging that!
