The Altamont High School Band marched in the 2017 National Memorial Day Parade in front of several thousand spectators in our nation’s capital. Read what director, Sara Berg, has to say about her experience:
“We absolutely loved the National Memorial Day Parade! The entire day was an unbelievable experience that I will never forget. There was a surreal moment during the parade when I looked across at the Washington Monument which was surrounded by flags, then saw and heard our band performing in front. It was very moving. This experience has definitely made me more patriotic. I can’t wait to go back to D.C. We were there just long enough to make us want to go back.
The MCI team was great. They really seemed to care about me and wanted to make things as easy as possible. When I had a question–and there were a bunch–they always got back to me really quickly.
It’s an experience that we will never forget.
