We enjoyed our joint concert with the Conservatory Youth Choir in Barcelona very much. Although the venue was quite small, it was full of the conservatory choir members and their families. The concert was well enough advertised that a musician from Barcelona (whom we had met and worked with here in Jonesboro) was able to locate the school and join us for the concert. Our concert at the Madonna del Pilar Church, wonderful acoustic, large, appreciative audience. Our recital at El Escorial Monastery was very nice. Superior acoustic and we were invited by Maestro De Cappella to come back some time in a warmer month to sing in Mass! My personal highlight was the concert at the Church of Pi [in Barcelona]. Although very nearly exhausted, the combination of the acoustics and our feelings toward our repertoire produced some “magical musical moments.” As for the performers’ highlights, many of them mentioned the opportunities to sing at least one song in every (except Montserrat Cathedral) church we visited, and the Linen Exchange and Market! Others were thrilled to make music in the same church in which our composers would have performed. You are doing a wonderful job! I have a loved touring with your company, especially in Italy and Spain, because of my trust in the suitability of the performance venues selected by Simona [Belluzzi], and friendly, yet professional, conduct of the tour managers Isabella and Flavio. No other companies have been nearly so dedicated to providing the quality of venues or service. I also appreciate your willingness to work with us on locations of hotels, pricing, and making “apples to apples” comparisons of other company’s bids. I would definitely recommend you to any of my choral colleagues.
