The 2018 National Memorial Day Concert Series is an exclusive event hosted by Music Celebrations International, with support from the American Veterans Center. A series of patriotic and inspiring performances take place throughout Memorial Day Weekend at the National World War II Memorial, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, the Abraham Lincoln Memorial, and the United States Air Force and Navy Memorials.

D-Day Memorial Concert Series

Normandy, France | June 6, 2018

Music Celebrations is pleased to announce our involvement in the annual D-Day Memorial Concert Series, a unique opportunity for American choirs, wind bands, and orchestras, to visit France, perform memorial concerts for its citizens, and commemorate those men and women who fought so valiantly there during the Allied Invasion in 1944.  During this special tribute tour, participating ensembles will visit many poignant locations of the 1944 Normandy Landings, including the battle sites of Caen and St. Malo, as well as the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial – the resting place for so many Americans that lost their lives during the invasion.

The Rome International Choral Festival is one of Rome's premier annual summer music events. The tenth-annual festival will feature Mass participation at St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican and a formal finale concert at Rome's famed Basilica di Santa Maria sopra Minerva. The festival chorus will include mixed-voice singers and choirs from across North America that will come together to rehearse and perform en masse.

Facing the haunting outline of the majestic Wicklow Mountains, Ireland’s Fair City holds true to a 1,000-year Celtic heritage that inspires her music and artistry to this day. The Féile Córúil Dublin, or Dublin Choral Festival, will celebrate this great heritage of Celtic musical inspiration. The festival will feature mixed-voice choirs and individual singers from a variety of background joining together to sing en masse. Three days of rehearsals will lead participants to a grand finale performance in the historic, stunning, and oldest medieval cathedral in Ireland, Christ Church Cathedral Dublin.

Great Britain Choral Festival: A Celebration of Peace

Cambridge, England | July 1-5, 2018

The Festival will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the armistice ending World War I and feature mixed-voice choirs and individual singers from a variety of backgrounds to sing en masse. Singers will participate in three days of rehearsals culminating in a grand finale performance in the historic Ely Cathedral. Participants will have the opportunity to tour in and around Ely in beautiful and historic cities such as London, Cambridge, Stratford, Edinburgh, and more!

In 2017, the festival has been invited to be an official partner of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts as it celebrates JFK's 100th birthday.  The festival will serve as the premiere concert for the Kennedy Center Open House Festival yearlong celebration of John F. Kennedy’s Centennial and is designed to celebrate cultural arts through free meaningful events and concerts which make the arts accessible to everyone.

Under the direction of Dr. Jo-Michael Scheibe, Chair of the Thornton School of Music's department of choral and sacred music at the University of Southern California, the festival chorus will perform outstanding classical works selected by Dr. Scheibe. János Czifra, Domkapellmeister of the Dom, will conduct Mozart's Mass in C Major, "Coronation," KV 317, accompanied by the Salzburger Domorchester.

Music Celebrations International is pleased to present a special choral event dedicated to the presidency of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and the "Four Freedoms" laid out in his State of the Union Address - Freedom of Speech, Freedom from Want, Freedom of Worship, and Freedom from Fear. Dr. Gary R. Schwartzhoff, Director of Choral Activities at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, will provide artistic direction. A special commissioned work by renowned composer Ethan Wickman will premiere at the festival performance. The work will include text from Roosevelt’s Four Freedoms speech.
