The Tacoma Youth Symphony completed their third tour with Music Celebrations (Washington, DC, Boston, Los Angeles). They recently represented the state of Washington in the National Festival of the States concert series in Los Angeles, performing in the beautiful and acoustically gratifying Zipper Hall, and participating in a Soundtrack Session as part of the Disney Performing Arts Series. Executive Director, Dr. Loma Cobbs, reports:

“It was a pleasure to work with my MCI Team. They worked hard to ensure that all of the details were worked out. Their professionalism and job knowledge was appreciated greatly. Although sightseeing was not our primary reason for the trip, it was certainly a nice addition for students who have never been to California. They enjoyed all of the sights, parks and attractions. In particular they appreciated the opportunity to share those experiences together. The Disney Soundtrack Session was a wonderful experience for the students. To their surprise, our students behaved very professionally. The conductor remarked that they were the best he has worked with both musically and personally. Clearly, the Zipper Hall performance was the highlight of all involved. This was a very nice hall and the audience was most appreciative. It was a rewarding experience to achieve a fine performance after hours and hours of rehearsal and personal practicing. This group loves to perform for audiences!

Thank you for another very fine touring experience! We will definitely look your direction when it comes time for our next trip.”
