“I don’t really know where to begin to talk about how great our trip was. The concert venues were perfect. It was such a treat to sing concerts in churches where the acoustics were so different than what we can find here. I wish I had taken a picture of the girls’ faces when they first heard their own voices coming back for so long! And the local concert managers were incredibly helpful. (Simonetta gave us great history of the church in Rome and, as an opera girl, I was thrilled to hear about the connection to Tosca!) The Masses we participated in were so beautiful and everyone was very helpful in making sure we knew when to sing. In Assisi they gave us a beautiful parchment as a memory of the day that we look forward to framing and displaying at school.

SINGING IN THE SISTINE CHAPEL…..here is where I find myself at a loss for how to describe it. We were all overwhelmed. As we finished the last song, I think almost every one of us, singers and families, burst into tears at the joy of being able to sing in such a place. For at least the next hour, we struggled to put it into words without starting the tears again.

I am so grateful to MCI for all the hard work putting this tour together for us. Everyone on the tour, singers and chaperones and family members, agreed that it was a perfect trip. Our Head of School went along as a chaperone and she was so impressed with the quality of everything that we did. I am already looking forward to planning another trip!

As always, if you ever would like for me to be a reference for a group planning to do a music tour, you can always refer them to me. I would not consider using another company for a concert tour!”
