The Youth Symphony of Kansas City spent several days touring the lush green island of Ireland. Their first stop was a visit to the Cliffs of Moher, which is one of Ireland’s most popular natural attractions with spectacular views. Other highlights of the tour included visits to the Bunratty Castle, Blarney Castle, and Kilkenny Castle where the group experienced and learned about Ireland’s culture and history. Musical highlights of the tour included performances at the St. Canice’s Cathedral, which is pictured above, and a performance in St. Andrew’s Church as part of the American Celebration of Music in Ireland.

“Thank you MCI for a fantastic 2016 Ireland tour! The Youth Symphony of Kansas City Embarked on its’ first international tour in over a decade with over 100 participants involved.

Everything was planned and executed with absolute precision. Hotels, meals, charter buses, and concerts were all stellar. Customer service from MCI from the planning stages clear through return flights back to Kansas City was absolutely top notch. Most importantly, our students were profoundly impressed by everything! We cannot wait to work with MCI again for the next YSKC international tour in 2018.”
